Mavs Lose Game 5; Celtics Win 2024 NBA Championship

As the NBA’s Western Conference No. 5 seed, the Dallas Mavericks went on a surprising and improbable run to the NBA Finals; a run no one saw coming.

That run ended Monday night in Game 5 as the Boston Celtics celebrated their 18th championship with a 106-88 win in TD Garden. Boston won the series 4-1.

Celtics’ Jaylen Brown was named Finals MVP. The Celtics now have the most all-time championships of any team in the NBA.
