Ray Drew Lea, was a vibrant spirit whose laughter could light up even in the darkest days. He left this world on August 26, 2024, at 49. Born on December 2, 1974, Ray dedicated his life to his passion for being self-employed, he embraced his adventurous side with an innovative spirit that defined his work and inspired those around him.

Ray wasn’t just a creator; he was a loyal and loving son, brother, father, and friend, known for his huge heart and undeniable charm. He infused life with humor and warmth, carrying an infectious zest that could turn any gathering into a memorable celebration. Known as the life of the party, his presence was like a favorite song – instantly recognizable and deeply appreciated.

A man of diverse interests, Ray enjoyed indulging in the strategic depths of chess, a game he played with both seriousness and humor, often sharing hearty laughs with friends over the board. His early years were marked by athletic pursuits, playing football, basketball, and running track, showcasing his competitive spirit and love for teamwork. In later years, his enthusiasm turned lovingly towards spectating these same sports, relishing moments spent watching his favorite teams compete, especially the Dallas Cowboys.

Throughout Ray’s life, his proudest accomplishments were rooted in the family he cherished. His children were his greatest treasure, a source of pride that shaped his identity and motivated him to be the best father he could possibly be.

Ray leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will remain woven into the hearts of all who knew him. To honor his vibrant life, the celebration of life will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, on September 16, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM.

As we reflect on the indelible mark Ray left on our lives, we hold onto the memories of his laughter, his generosity, and the immense love he shared. He may have departed from our sight, but his spirit will forever dance in our hearts.
