His approachable demeanor and genuine interest in others made him not just a friend but a confidant to many. He had an innate talent for making strangers feel like lifelong friends.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Olden was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, often sharing his excitement and loyalty with family and friends. He also dedicated a significant portion of his life to coaching track and field and basketball, positively influencing the lives of young athletes and instilling in them the values of dedication and teamwork.
Olden’s contributions to the community extended beyond sports and into the realm of education; he held a special appreciation for private schooling, valuing the opportunities it provided for personal development and growth.
His viewing will take place on February 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Following this, a funeral service will be held on February 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the John Chapel at the same location, with a concluding service at 2:00 PM.
