A Bishop Dunne High School graduate in 1973, Ivory pursued a path that combined his love for craftsmanship with the creativity of radio broadcasting, earning an associate degree from Cook County Community College. He embraced his career as a carpenter, where his hands crafted not just wood, but also connections and memories that would last a lifetime. His dedication to his work paralleled his commitment to his family, for whom he built a home filled with warmth and laughter.

Ivory’s personality radiated a quiet strength; he was a mild, meek, and humble person whose kindness touched everyone he encountered. He was an excellent husband and a super grandfather, known far and wide for his caring spirit and deep love for his wife and children. In honoring his life, family and friends are invited to gather at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas for a viewing on December 5, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a wake service at Golden Gate Funeral Home and Crematory-Allene Chapel, at 7:15pm-8:15pm.
