Ms. Rose Marie Brown

MARCH 13, 1945 – DECEMBER 30, 2022

IN THE CARE OF

Rose Marie Brown, born to Leatrice and Samuel Griffin, was a graduate of The University of North Texas, a member of Phi Kappa Phi, and A TARA Delegate. She was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She had several significant positions of employment through her life including her long tenure with the United States Post Office, her work as a masseuse, and as a real estate agent.

Rose gave her life to Christ many years ago and was a member of Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Brown Jr.

Rose leaves behind many loving family members including her son, Paul A. Brown; siblings, Samuel L. Griffin, Titus L. Griffin (Colette), Bethurel Griffin, Mary Ann Scott and Phyllis Griffin-Jones; respectively, one aunt, Myretha Clark and she also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Revelation 21:4 “And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away.”

John 14 “Do Not let your hearts be troubled Exercise faith in God; exercise faith also in me. In the house of my Father are many dwelling places otherwise. I would have told you, for I am going my way to prepare a place for you.”

John 11:25-26 “I am the resurrection and the Life, the one who exercises faith in me even though he dies, will come to life. And everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die”
