Benjamin Broadnax, born on November 12, 1934, peacefully passed away on September 1, 2024. He was a remarkable individual known for his directness, generous spirit, and deep love for his family and friends. Benjamin’s unwavering commitment to his loved ones was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother uncle, cousin, a true friend.

Benjamin made memories filled with laughter and warmth. He had a passion for fishing, often relishing the tranquil moments spent by the water. In addition to fishing, he had a well-known affection for good food, particularly enjoying steak, and developed a love for red velvet and coconut cake that brought joy to many family gatherings.

To celebrate Benjamin’s life and legacy, viewing services will take place on September 13, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. A wake service will follow from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM on the same day.

Benjamin’s funeral service will be held on September 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Griggs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, situated at 1718 Fargo Street, Dallas, TX 75223. His family invites all who knew him to come together to honor a life that was truly well lived. Benjamin Broadnax will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
