Session 349 is underway!
In honor of International Women’s Day and iHeartRadio’s Women’s Day Initiative, “Women Take the Mic,” Therapy For Black Girl’s host Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, dove into what it means to be a “girl’s girl” in her latest podcast episode.
In the episode, Dr. Harden begins by explaining what the team being “a girl’s girl” means to her. To be “the woman who fixes a woman’s crown without telling the world it was crooked,” she shared, highlighting the fact that the term, by definition, is all about “extending grace and generosity as an instinct […] — a default setting of ‘I got you… don’t worry about it.’”
The famed psychologist went on to share how various members of the Therapy For Black Girl’s podcast team define the phrase “both in theory and in practice” before diving into ways women can support each other.
Listen to the episode below!
The Therapy for Black Girls podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Bradford, a licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about mental health, personal development, and the small decisions we can make to become the best possible versions of ourselves.
