Crockett Secures $4,823,200 For TX-30 Cities Through Interior and Environment Appropriations Bill

WASHINGTON — As Speaker Johnson sends the House to recess early without passing the majority of the must-pass 2025 funding bills, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) announced that she successfully secured $4,823,200 across five Community Projects within the FY 2025 Interior and Environment Appropriations Bill. This funding will be distributed between the following five projects:

  • $1,105,800 – City of Grand Prairie for Waterford Lift Station Project
  • $400,000 – City of Glenn Heights for Citywide Infiltration and Inflow Study Project
  • $1,105,800 – City of Glenn Height for Wastewater Treatment Project
  • $1,105,800 – City of DeSoto for Bolton Boone Water Pressure Zone Project
  • $1,105,800 – City of Wilmer for Wastewater Pipe Project

“Wastewater management is one of those things most people don’t think about unless something goes wrong,” said Rep. Crockett. “Worn and outdated water infrastructure pose grave threats to the health and safety of our communities. As our cities face significant water challenges exacerbated by the climate crisis, which raises the threat of severe flooding and resulting environmental impacts on our sewer systems and water treatment facilities, we need to invest in this infrastructure to keep our communities safe. With roughly six months left in this 118th Congress, I will continue to do all I can to bring these vital investments to Texas’s 30th Congressional District. Thank you to the cities of Grand Prairie, Glenn Heights, DeSoto, and Wilmer for working with me to secure this funding and our cities’ futures.”
