In a statement to his congregation of more than 10,000 members of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Sr. Pastor Tony Evans announced on Sunday that he was stepping down from the leadership position he has for almost 50 years.
An original founder of the megachurch, Dr. Evans is a best selling author and highly regarded speaker/preacher/teacher.
Social media posts praised him and offered prayers for his family, upon reading Pastor Evans’ admission of “sin.”
