Frenzy at Fanzo in Frisco

Debate watchers pack the house at local sports bar

Several members of the Divine Nine (Black Greek Letter Organizations) and members of the community overwhelmed the staff at Fanzo Sports Bar in Frisco for the presidential debate watch party hosted by the Omega Alpha Omega and Tau Rho Omega chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

It was fast and furious, yet extended wait times for delivery of food and drinks for a minimal number of servers who obviously were not prepared for the level of participation and business on a Tuesday night. The food however, once delivered, was fresh and delicious.

Attendees intently watched the matchup on the big screens  between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, both vying for the top job in the United States of America.

At one point, a person entered the restaurant and taunted the crowd, moving his body and mimicking Vice President Harris as she spoke. As a patron got up and walked towards him, he exited the restaurant quickly.

The crowd was lively watching history unfold. Please register to vote and get to the polls to vote your pleasure in the upcoming presidential election and other races to follow.
