The “Money” Section of last week’s USA Today, echoed a widely accepted truth that Black folks live by. It read: “DJT stock hits turbulence: More volatility ahead for Trump’s high-flying Truth Social!”
My Big Mama used to say it with one hand on her hip and the other waving to the sky… ”God don’t like ugly, and he ain’t too keen on cute!” Donald John Trump has publicly committed just about every sin you can imagine. But that Bible roux he cooked up was too hot to sip and too spicy to be forgiven.
According to Quora, “the quote “God don’t like ugly” is often attributed to African American vernacular and conveys the idea that immoral or unkind actions will not be tolerated by a higher power. It has been popularized in various forms of media, including literature, music, and film, but its exact origins are not definitively documented. The quote is often used to emphasize the concept of karma or divine justice.”
When the headline popped up on my timeline, the stark reality of karma and divine justice immediately surfaced. Donald Trump timed his stock release to match his other public pleadings for money, which back- fired. USA Today chronicled his bad karma.
“They say the bigger they come, the harder they fall. That reckoning always comes eventually for meme stocks — and Trump Media & Technology Group appears to be no exception.
Donald Trump’s namesake social media company burst out of the gate on its first day of trading Tuesday, opening at $70.90 and soaring as high as $79.38 as Trump fans and opportunistic traders bought up shares. But the price faded late in the session and has bounced along at lower levels ever since, ending Thursday down $4.26 at $61.96.
“The valuation of the company should be several hundred million, not the billions it is currently valued at,” University of Florida professor Jay Ritter said.”
The article exposed another one of Trump’s exaggerated overvaluation schemes.
DJT stock, like Trump Tower and that “Marred-Lago” property in Florida, is another Trump attempt to sell gold-filled replicas at gold bullion prices.
But Big Mama would tell you that this latest run of bad luck began with his $66 blasphemous Bible bargain. Trump was offering Christ, the Constitution, and his thinly veiled Neo-Confederacy in one printing.
“We have to bring Christianity back into our lives and into what will be again a great nation,” Trump said. “Our Founding Fathers did a tremendous thing when they built America on Judeo-Christian values. Now that foundation is under attack, perhaps as never before.”
Donald Trump doesn’t understand what Big Mama n”em knew by scripture and life experience. God will allow you to commit a lot of sins, but he won’t suffer you lying on him. You can lie to Melania, and you can lie to them Rabbid Red-necks, but you can’t lie to God’s people about who he is and what he does.
The framers of the Constitution left a lot to be desired. They left out coloreds, devalued women, and deified their status as wealthy White male landowners.
However, not even the 39 delegates who signed the document were arrogant enough to mention God. They knew enough to know that God don’t like ugly, and he won’t be mocked.
And just for grins, what rich Christ-centered man or woman sells Bibles? My Facebook and good friend Jonathan Green shared a late-night posting. “A true Billionaire Christian would be donating Bibles, not selling them!”
The Gideons International, an association of business and professional families, ironically leaves bibles in the rooms of most major hotels, including Trump’s bedeviled villas. The Gideons, by their website revealed in late 2022 that they had distributed 2.5 billion bibles. I will wager you that Trump never donated a dime to their organization, and obviously never cracked open a Holy book!
God doesn’t like ugly; he will show his might when you lead his people astray. There is an even more severe penalty when you play on the gullible, the impaired, and the poor. Trump has it coming.
Big Mama n’em didn’t know much, but they knew what not to do. And they raised their children to understand that God doesn’t like ugly. God doesn’t condone inhumanity, manufactured chaos, racism, sexism, homophobia and deceit.
Trumpism is ugly!
