The verdict is in for actress Lori Loughlin from the hit TV series Full House.
A federal judge recently ruled that Loughlin will serve two months in prison while her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, will serve five months.
Loughlin and Giannulli paid half a million dollars of bribe money for their two daughters to be accepted into the University of Southern California as rowing recruits. U.S. District Judge Nathaniel Gorton accepted Loughlin’s plea deal during a video call with the prosecutors.
Under the plea agreement, Giannulli will also pay a $250,000 fine and fulfill 250 hours of community service.
While Loughlin will pay $150,000 and perform 100 hours of community service, Judge Gorton expressed his feelings about the couple committing this crime, “You were not stealing bread to feed your family….You have no excuse for your crime, and that makes it all the more blameworthy.” The couple apologized for using their status and wealth to get ahead.
