Mrs. Carol A. Prince, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Born on September 20, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to Alphonso and Lillie Millard Prince, Carol’s journey through life was one marked by love, dedication, and service to others.

Carol embarked on her educational journey at the tender age of four, initially attending Ledbetter School up until the 10th grade. She subsequently attended Booker T. Washington High School for her 11th and 12th grades, where she proudly graduated in the class of 1963. Carol’s early commitment to education laid a strong foundation for the remarkable person she would become.

Professionally, Carol was a talented hairdresser, a vocation that not only showcased her artistic skills but also her love for taking care of others. Her passion extended beyond her profession; Carol was known for her love of shopping, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life and sharing them with those around her.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Alphonso and Lillie Prince; two brothers, Millard James Prince and Charles Kelley Sr, and two sisters, Anita Jo Barrett and Juanita Wheeler.

Carol’s legacy is carried on through her beloved family. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Butler; two sons, Quentin Butler and Antonio Langston; seven grandchildren, Brian, Jasmine (Jerome), Jonathan, Jada, Antonio Jr., Quintay, and Byron; and seven great-grandchildren, Serenity, Malaysia, Marcel, Aniyah, Navaeh, Quintay Jr., and Unique. Carol also leaves behind her dear aunt, Alma Ruth; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Billie Joe); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family. Her life was further enriched by three special friends, Bobbie Henry, Orelia Coleman and Edna Easley.   Carol’s indomitable spirit, her unconditional love for her family, and her unwavering support for her friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life—a life lived with purpose, grace, and an abundance of love.
