Sandra Iyobor Alex-Walker was born on May 24th, 1982 to Mr. Monday Ahanon and Ms. Elizabeth Osabuohien in Benin, Nigeria.
Sandra was raised and educated in Benin, Nigeria. She was protected and loved by her elder brother, Charles Igiehon. They were raised in a household that set standards of strong family ties.
She was known as a bubbly young girl who grew into a fun, loving, and vivacious woman. If you knew Sandra, you know that what you see is what you get! She is lovingly described first as a very outspoken woman, and first again as a shopaholic. She was someone who held dearly her core values of family and living a God fearing life. She also loved being around people, to travel, to dance, and to spend time near water. Mrs. Sandra only accepted positivity and gave honesty and love. No matter what, the most important thing to Sandra was her family.
Once Sandra finished high school, Sandra continued her education at Auchi Poly Technic in Nigeria. Two years later, in 2008, Sandra completed her curriculum earning a college diploma.
After completing her diploma from Auchi Poly Technic, she relocated from Benin, Nigeria to start a new life in Mesquite, Texas. From there she moved to Houston, Texas and then worked her way to Burbank, California.
While she was pursuing a life in Burbank, California, she started talking to a gentleman by the name of Mr. Alex Walker Jr.. For the next two years, their relationship blossomed. The couple met for the first time on July 8th, 2018 in Muskogee, Oklahoma where Mr. Alex Walker proposed to Mrs. Sandra Alex-Walker the same day.
After their union, the couple relocated once more to Dallas, Texas where they have been residing and planning to build their family for the past 4 years.
The love that Mrs. Sandra shared with Mr. Alex Walker was genuine, honest, and satisfying. With Alex, Sandra smiled more, felt listened to, and had the space and support to be all who she wanted to be in this world, happy! Sandra has expressed that some of these characteristics and more of Mr. Alex gifted her life a quality of love that can be outwardly seen and shared with her community. Together they exemplified the power of love and its ability to change hearts through their actions, especially towrds family.
Professionally Sandra worked in the home health industry before changing careers and impacting lives as a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She found enjoyment working at the TDCJ because it allowed her to support her family in ways that made her happy and fulfilled.
Mrs. Sandra Alex-Walker blew her last kiss on February 14th of 2023 in the company of her husband after a very brief illness.
Sandra was proceeded in death by her Mother, Ms. Elizabeth Osabuohien, and grandparents. She is leaving a legacy of memories to be cherished by her loving Husband, Mr. Alex Walker: Father; Mr. Monday Ahanon: Brothers; Charles Igiehon (Osamede): Nephews; Denzel Igihon and King David: Nieces; Desiree Igihon and Charlene Igihon: Parents- in-law; Mr. Alex Walker Sr. and Ms. Sharon Louise Parks: Sisters-in-law; Tiffany Nicole and Latoya Sherrelle: Cousin; Tina Adamu: Uncle; Kingsley Osabuohien and much more family and friends.
