Maria de Jesus (Mary) Almanza Coronado, our beloved Momo, originally from Waco, Texas, departed this life to be with our heavenly Father on December 27, 2022. Momo was surrounded by her family at home at the time of her peaceful passing. She had just celebrated her 97th birthday on December 24.
Momo was preceded in death by her husband Victor Coronado, Sr., her parents Pedro and Rosario Tenorio Almanza, and numerous brothers and sisters. Momo is survived by children Victor Coronado, Jr., Irma Martinez, Maria Elena Coronado, and Rosalinda (Rosie) C. Torres. In addition, she is survived by brother Herbert Almanza, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Albeit small in stature, Momo was a mighty and strong woman. Her wit and sense of humor will be missed. We love you, Momo!
Services are as follows: Visitation 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm January 3, 2023, Rosary 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm both at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
