TheNew3Rs.org today opened enrollment for this summer’s virtual “Your Story is Our Story Curriculum,” designed to create the next generation of youth responsive philanthropists, and engage students in conversations about Black History, race, and social justice.
The New 3Rs team of educators, storytellers, and philanthropy advisors lead engaging and interactive sessions that teach students of all races and faiths the contributions Blacks have given the world before and after 1619 and creates a safe space for the children and their families to have heartfelt conversations about the America they want. TheNew3Rs is responding to the racial justice and activism values of GenZ population which is the youngest, largest, and most ethnically diverse generation in American history.
Families of 6th through 10th grades can enroll today at TheNew3Rs.org/enroll for the virtual classes that will take place:
- July 9th & July 10th, July 16th & 17th, July 23rd & 24th, July 30th & July 31st
- Third Sunday of every month August to June
- One movie night
- Book Club
- Five Moral Responsibility and Mindfulness classes
- Youth Responsive Philanthropy Giving Circle
Students also will learn Black History from a collection of more than 10,000 artifacts, learn how to make grants to Black-led nonprofits around the U.S., Africa, India, Australia, and Brazil, and contribute to the annual Race Matters anthology – demonstrating students’ commitment to racial equity in school, the workplace, and the world, plus access to free lifetime global philanthropy advising services valued $10,000 per year.
